The EEC celebrated its sixth Annual Spring Festival in Bethlehem on 11 May 2009, at Dar Al-Kalima Open Theater.  The event drew hundreds of participants with lively student performances, skits, Dabkeh dancing and speeches celebrating biodiversity and the rich Palestinian heritage.
