Natural History Museum

Our Natural History Museum includes over 2,500 samples of fossilized and preserved birds, mammals, reptiles, and fish from Palestine as a method of studying native species in Palestine. The museum also includes a number of extinct species and therefore preserves our natural heritage.

Many of the specimens were donated by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land from the Martin Luther collection which was primarily the work of the late Gustaf Dalman, a German professor, researcher, and theologian. The museum contains the work of the late Dr. Sana Issa Atallah and Dr. Mazin Qumsiya, both from Beit Sahour, Palestine.
